Prodigy Search Presents: Interview Series
A virtual interview series featuring a multitude of industry leaders covering a variety of relevant issues, challenges, and opportunities within their respective organizations.
As the leading executive search firm in sports and entertainment, Prodigy Search launched a virtual interview series that we have long planned for called Prodigy Search Presents. What started in April of 2020 has now grown into a 25+ interview series with top executives in the industry.
Prodigy Search Presents include brief, informative, “casual interviews” led by Scott Carmichael, Founder & CEO, and Mark Gress Jr., Partner, as they converse with industry leaders and thought-provoking executives to discuss a variety of relevant issues, challenges, and opportunities. Many of the early discussions and recent content clearly focused on how their respective organizations were and are being adversely affected by the global pandemic. In addition to the video interviews being published on Prodigy Search Presents YouTube Channel, Prodigy Search also also added the audio-only component to the podcast platform on Anchor.
“This was an idea that our team had a few years ago that we wanted to really try to perfect before going to market with it. While our core business is executive recruiting, we are able to speak daily with countless impressive executives throughout the industry so it almost seemed like a wasted opportunity not to have their stories and career paths told publicly,” said Carmichael. “They have proven to not only be informative but also fun for our team and for the interviewees. We provide the opportunity for them to have open dialogue, and to engage in easy, casual conversations that are the stories they want to share and get excited by telling.”
In addition to the regular Prodigy Search Presents series, Prodigy Search has also published “WILLIE” — CREATING PRODUCTIVE CONVERSATIONS ABOUT RACE” hosted by Anson Carter, NBC and MSG Hockey Analyst/Former NHL player. Special guests included Wayne Simmonds, 12-year NHL veteran and current member of the Buffalo Sabres; Bryant McBride, Producer of “Willie” and sports technology entrepreneur; David Alward, Canadian Consul General to New England, Former Premier of New Brunswick and key contributor to “Willie”; and Frank Nakano, General Manager/ SVP of Sports and Entertainment at JP Morgan Chase and key contributor to “Willie”.
As Prodigy Search continues to expand their leading efforts in diverse hiring, they have entrusted their D&I Board of Advisors for brief conversations surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. This new mini-series, Prodigy Search Diversity & Inclusion Board of Advisors Mini-Series, includes several of Prodigy’s D&I Advisory Members, sharing best practices and recommendations as they continue to provide strategic insights to not only Prodigy’s team internally, but to the entire sports and entertainment community. Advisory Member discussions thus far have included Mandisa Diggs, Global Head of Inclusion & Diversity, Marvell Semiconductor; Vince Pierson, CEO & Principal Strategist, VSP Diversity Solution; Ron Li, Director, Growth & Commercialization, esports, Electronic Arts (EA); Glenn Merry, Executive Director, Move United.
