Prodigy Search completes key senior DEI Executive Placement in the NFL

FREEHOLD, NJ (April 30, 2021) — Prodigy Search is pleased to announce their executive recruitment on behalf of the Denver Broncos, placing China Jude as the organization’s first-ever Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI). Jude, who has more than 23 years of collegiate athletic administration and coaching experience, most recently worked as the University of Wyoming’s Senior Associate Athletics Director for Administration/Senior Woman Administrator.

Prodigy Search launched their Diversity & Inclusion Educational Initiative in 2019, which includes executive recruitment for senior-level DEI positions but also provides strategic direction from a 10-member Board of Advisors who are esteemed DEI professionals in the sports and entertainment industries. With the completion of Jude in Denver, Prodigy Search will continue to expand their DEI portfolio for executive-level hiring needs across several industries in the coming months.

In a newly created role for the Broncos organization, Jude will lead the development and implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives for both the Denver Broncos Football Club and Stadium Management Company. She will work closely with football, business, and community leadership on their DEI strategy.

Founder & CEO of Prodigy Search, Scott Carmichael, said “While we continuously increase our efforts in the diversity, equity and inclusion space, it is an exciting time for the Broncos organization but also for our firm. Prodigy endeavored to learn more about the DEI world with our Educational Initiative, while also conducting other executive-level DEI-specific recruitment projects, which we are humbled by both. While vetting through dozens of qualified candidates, we are pleased to have identified someone as immensely talented as China. Prodigy Search wishes China and the Denver Broncos the absolute best as she leads the charge to expand the DEI efforts in Denver.”

“Throughout the interview process, China Jude passionately demonstrated how advancing DEI initiatives will help the Broncos win on and off the field,” said Bowlen.

“I was headed towards the path of a Athletic Director position in Division I collegiate athletics but when I spoke with the Prodigy Search team about this position in Denver and the Broncos’ vision for DEI, I became enthused about this new path,” said Jude. “Through my work with MOAA, WISE, and countless other DEI organizations, it has been my passion to drive positive and actionable change in our industry. Throughout my career, DEI has always been a critical issue and one that I have invested in throughout my personal and professional life. This role will allow me for to have immense contributions to one of the most historic franchises in the most prominent league in U.S. professional sports.”
